Junior Associate (Assurance)
Objective
Our mission is to deliver exceptional accounting and financial services to our diverse clientele. Junior Associate’s role in obtaining this objective will include involvement in compilation and assurance engagements, corporate and personal taxation, and various ancillary activities.

Education and experience
As we are a public accounting firm, experience with (or demonstrated knowledge of) assurance and taxation is critical to this role. Minimum requirements consist of:
- Successful completion of a university degree with accounting focus
- Registration as a CPA student with CPA Ontario;
Our firm is recognized as a Pre-Approved Program office for training Chartered Professional Accountants and the successful applicant will be enrolled in the program if they require additional articling experience to qualify for their CPA designation.
Duties
Key responsibilities of Junior Associate include: (i) preparation of compilation and assurance engagement files, (ii) preparation of corporate and personal tax returns, (iii) preparation of associated tax filings including payroll, dividends, trusts, charity, etc., (iv) bookkeeping for clients that require added support with preparing their records, and (v) direct communication with clients and other stakeholders throughout the process.
Technology
Our firm is technologically-focused and uses a several key pieces of software (and cloud) tools to keep us organized, productive, and on-task. We will provide you with experience in: CaseWare, TaxPrep, and the Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Excel, Word, and Outlook). Experience with Quickbooks, Xero, and other desktop and cloud accounting software may also be obtained via specific engagements.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
