We are a new contracting company in the St. John’s area looking for an experienced Journeyman Construction Electrician to help build our electrical division from the ground up.
We’re looking for one solid electrician who takes pride in their work, can work independently and is interested in growing with the company.
What we’re looking for:
- Red Seal / Journeyman Construction Electrician
- Residential and commercial experience considered an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and service experience considered an asset
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for jobs
- Good communication and professional with customers
- Interested in eventually supervising apprentices and small crews
Jobs will be quoted, planned and scheduled by management with excellent project support provided. This includes planning and engineering support, clear step-by-step scopes of work, and schedule breakdowns. The goal is to remove the guesswork so you can focus on doing quality electrical work and keeping the job on schedule.
Your initial primary focus will be completing quality electrical work, providing mentorship to apprentices, ensuring company safety programs and culture are followed while maintaining schedule, and helping us build a strong reputation.
As the electrical side of the company grows, we want this person to grow with it. The goal is for this position to develop into a supervisory role overseeing multiple projects and crews, and eventually transition into a management role with accountability for more business focused responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in completing in-company project management training and treat this opportunity as career development.
For someone who proves to be a good long-term fit, we are also open to discussing performance and profit-sharing incentives once we have an established track record together.

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour
