Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our distribution center operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, heavy equipment operation, and order fulfillment processes. This role involves handling shipping and receiving, order picking, packaging, and operating various types of warehouse equipment to ensure efficient inventory management and timely order processing.
· Ability to work in cold temperatures of 1 Degrees Celsius/32 Degrees Fahrenheit
· Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming products from our suppliers
· Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
· Sort and distribute incoming shipments
· Match products with purchase orders and verify received product expiration codes
· Inspect products to ensure sale-able condition with acceptable code dating and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
· Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries
· Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
· Pick and prepare outgoing orders and wheel out these orders to the docks or vehicles of pick-up customers
· Unload empty milk crates from Mr. Dairy trucks returning from their routes
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Knowledge of operation of a Walkie is an asset
