Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support food service operations by restocking supplies and maintaining a tidy work area
- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or assembling ingredients when needed
- Follow proper food safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy hours
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cooking, food service, or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting pots or cleaning supplies as needed
