Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the construction of wood-frame mid-rise residential projects from start to finish.
This position requires extensive, hands-on experience managing wood-frame construction, specifically multi-storey mid-rise residential buildings. Candidates without significant wood-frame mid-rise experience will not be considered.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities, a strong understanding of wood-frame construction methods, and proficiency with industry-standard construction management software. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Site Superintendent will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to coordinate all on-site activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage all daily on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed in accordance with project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
- Lead and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel while maintaining productivity, accountability, and a safe work environment.
- Apply extensive knowledge of wood-frame mid-rise construction to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve construction challenges.
- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to guide project execution.
- Utilize construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and other industry-standard tools for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Coordinate construction sequencing and trade activities to maintain project timelines.
- Oversee quality control processes and ensure all work meets company standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist with construction estimating when required.
- Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies or safety concerns.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures while conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of materials and equipment required for ongoing construction activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, deficiencies, RFIs, change orders, and daily site activities.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience as a Site Superintendent managing wood-frame construction projects is mandatory.
- Significant experience overseeing multi-storey wood-frame mid-rise residential buildings is required. This is a critical qualification, and applicants without this experience will not be considered.
- Proven experience successfully supervising commercial or residential construction projects from start to completion.
- Strong background in construction management with proficiency using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and other construction management software.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, construction sequencing, structural framing, construction estimating, and quality control procedures.
- Thorough understanding of Ontario Building Code requirements and best practices related to wood-frame mid-rise construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and multiple trades simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proven commitment to maintaining the highest standards of site safety and quality.
- Relevant certifications and safety training are considered assets.

Pay: $110,000.00-$155,000.00 per year
