We are seeking a dependable, hands on Production Technician to support packaging, labeling, sanitation, and general production operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long term career in cannabis manufacturing.
Position Overview
The Production Technician supports daily manufacturing and packaging operations under the direction of senior production personnel. This is a physically active, detail oriented role within a highly regulated environment.
This casual full time position may evolve into a permanent full time role based on performance, reliability, and company needs.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging & Labelling
- Accurately package cannabis products according to SOPs and batch records
- Apply labels in compliance with Health Canada requirements
- Verify lot numbers, expiry dates, and product information
- Assist with final quality checks prior to shipment
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize production rooms, tools, and equipment
- Complete sanitation logs and required documentation
- Support pre- and post-production cleaning
- Maintain an audit-ready facility at all times
Production Support
- Assist senior production personnel during manufacturing runs
- Prepare materials and components for production
- Weigh and record materials as directed
- Stage packaging materials and finished goods
- Support inventory counts and organization
General Duties
- Strictly adhere to all SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Complete required documentation accurately and legibly
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Perform additional production-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have reliable personal transportation (own vehicle required)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (no criminal record)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow written procedures exactly
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a regulated cannabis environment
Preferred:
- Experience in food manufacturing, cannabis, or GMP-regulated environments
- Experience with packaging or production equipment
- Understanding of sanitation protocols
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
