Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and assisting customers in need, ensuring their experience is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks and other vehicles to transport disabled or improperly parked vehicles.
- Respond promptly to calls for assistance, providing timely service to customers in various situations.
- Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation of towing equipment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or towing equipment on-site.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their needs during stressful situations.
- Maintain accurate records of services rendered, including documentation of vehicle condition before and after towing.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and at job sites.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to perform basic automotive repairs as needed.
- Previous experience in customer service roles is highly desirable, showcasing strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not required.
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks are essential for this position.
