Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927. Our mandate is to give back to those who served and continue to serve in our communities and country.

Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province. Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.

We are currently recruiting for casual attendants to work Mon-Wed 1420-1820 at a site based in Downtown Vancouver. Opportunities are available to work at other sites including Tri-Cities & Maple Ridge locations

Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Providing superior customer service to members of the public
  • Greeting passengers, and assisting them with use of the service
  • Effectively communicating information and procedures to passengers
  • Performing random fare validation checks
  • Monitoring stations for vandalism, maintenance, and safety concerns
  • Keeping station conditions presentable and safe, including trash, snow, and graffiti removal
  • Maintaining equipment and inventory
  • Liaising with law enforcement when necessary
  • First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
  • Reporting to the Site Supervisor and Operations management for further duties as necessary
Your Must-Haves:
  • Valid OFA 1 (or willing to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professionally presentable
  • Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
Your Nice-To-Haves:
  • Previous customer service experience
