The Role
As a Single Axle Water Truck Operator in our Grading Division, you will play a critical support role in maintaining optimal moisture levels for grading, compaction, and base preparation on civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a single axle water truck to apply water for dust control and proper compaction
- Coordinate with graders, dozers, and roller operators to support daily production targets
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections, maintain the truck in clean and safe condition
- Monitor and adjust water application rates according to soil conditions and project specifications
- Assist with general grading tasks and site support when required
- Complete accurate daily logs, water usage reports, and time sheets
- Follow all traffic control, safety procedures, and company policies
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract (Class 3 with Q endorsement is a strong asset)
- Previous experience operating a water truck or similar construction haul truck
- Strong understanding of grading, compaction, and moisture control best practices
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented attitude
- CSTS 2020, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance tickets are considered strong assets

Pay: $1.00-$2.00 per hour
