Westkey Graphics is looking for a Material Handling Clerk for our Edmonton plant.
This position focuses on the purchasing and inventory of raw materials and consumables. The Materials Clerk assists the Procurement Department in processing requisitions and manages inventory replenishments for production.
Duties:
- Close collaboration and partnership with our Planning and Production teams as well as our suppliers.
- Support the Procurement Department to manage on time delivery of raw materials and help maintain inventory levels.
- Coordinate with Planning and Production to confirm direct purchases arrive in time for production.
- Work with key suppliers to fulfill orders and arrange delivery dates, sometimes coordinating the logistics to meet tighter deadlines.
- Dealing with damaged stock through returns or exchanges, keeping suppliers accountable for quality and time
- Create and manage purchasing documents, ensuring accurate data for Accounting.
- Plan and manage minimum and maximum stock levels for raw materials to support production requirements.
- Receive packing slips into purchasing system, and work with Accounting to resolve match exceptions
- Working with Accounts Payable and suppliers to clear pricing, materials, and invoicing exceptions.
- Coordinate purchases of warehouse and office consumables
- Other duties as required for the department
- Work closely with production scheduler to ensure all roll stock is pulled and at the press to meet daily production metrics
Qualifications
- Experience with Custom Software
- Knowledge of Print best practices
- Aptitude to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- To ensure healthy stock levels to produce work and commit material for production usage
- Lift truck experience would be an asset; both fork and clamp
- Some manual dexterity is required. Must be able to lift 50lbs multiple times per day.
