As a co-op student with Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), you will contribute to helping us make the internet a better place for Canadians. You will walk away from your term with us with experience working as part of an innovative, dynamic team with practical skills for your career.
What you will do:
Engage and support key stakeholders during the lead-up and launch of CIRA’s 2022 grants process, including:
Developing and revising resource materials for applicants.
Answer enquiries from potential applicants regarding CIRA’s 2022 grants call.
Implement and test process and information collection changes to our online application system.
Develop contact lists to ensure we reach our target communities to encourage them to apply for funding.
Participate in projects eligibility review.
Assist with developing documentation and process support for applicants and review panel.
What you will take away from your co-op term:
Experience working in the field of grantmaking, including hands-on support as a funder for our annual call.
Knowledge of Canadian non-profit sector working on digital initiatives.
Experience working with a content management systems and grants application platforms.
Opportunity to contribute creative ideas to meaningful projects, while maintaining CIRA’s brand voice and tone.
Practice writing for different audiences and communications and marketing channels including email, social media and web.
Working with a small team, while collaborating with multiple functions and teams across the organization. Contributing to a not-for-profit tech organization and being able to make a difference to Canadians and see the results of your work.
Learning about the day to day of a highly creative, fast-paced, diverse communications team.
What we look for in students (this is high level/general):
Enrolment in communications, community development, marketing, non-profit leadership and/or fundraising programs.
Systems/logical approach to organizing and collecting information in online systems.
Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
English/French bilingualism is a definite asset.
