Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Framer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures using a variety of materials and techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing and carpentry tasks.
- Erect metal buildings, including framing and structural support systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Perform concrete forming and rebar installation to prepare foundations and structural elements for pouring concrete.
- Install siding, stucco, trim carpentry, roofing, drywall, and other exterior or interior finishes with precision.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely to complete framing, roofing, siding, and restoration projects.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing components such as studs, beams, and panels using woodworking techniques.
- Manage construction site activities including heavy lifting, material handling, site cleanup, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to follow project plans accurately while maintaining quality control.
- Assist in masonry work and plastering tasks as needed to support comprehensive building processes.
- Contribute to remodeling projects by removing old structures and installing new framing or finishes efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on framing or carpentry work.
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, and masonry fundamentals.
- Skilled in operating hand tools (saws, hammers), power tools (drills, nail guns), welding equipment, and heavy machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks.
- Familiarity with roofing systems, siding installation (including stucco), drywall finishing, plastering, and trim carpentry.
- Experience working on diverse construction projects such as remodeling or restoration is highly desirable.
