We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Osteopathic manual practitioner (OAO, OOA, socato members) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive osteopathic care aimed at improving patients' overall health and well-being through manual therapy techniques. Your expertise will help alleviate pain, restore mobility, and promote healing across a diverse patient population. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and physical examinations, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Apply manual therapy techniques such as soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, and stretching to address musculoskeletal issues.
- Educate patients on posture, ergonomics, injury prevention, and self-care strategies to support ongoing health.
- Maintain accurate case management records using electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage patient appointments efficiently by prioritizing urgent cases and scheduling follow-up treatments.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates and advancements in osteopathic practices through continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Osteopath or in a similar manual therapy role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to osteopathic treatment.
- jane software knowledge would be a plus
- Fluency in English and French
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain treatment plans and foster patient trust.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in acute care environments while demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Mechanical knowledge related to healthcare equipment and nursing practices is advantageous.
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality patient care.

this is an independent contractor position.
part time position 8- 1 or 2 pm and every other Saturday morning would be appreciated
