Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring smooth food preparation and maintaining a clean, organized environment. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Prepare ingredients and basic food items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support in serving meals to customers or guests as needed
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain hygiene standards at all times
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to fast-paced kitchen environments
- Basic understanding of serving procedures and meal presentation is a plus
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting tasks as needed
