Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Landscape Design Assistant to support our landscape architecture team in creating innovative and sustainable outdoor spaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in landscape design, project planning, and drafting using industry-standard software. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing landscape design concepts and presentations for various projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and visualizations using SketchUp, Dynascape, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support the drafting of construction documents and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project conditions.
- Help manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors during construction phases.
- Contribute to the creation of 3D models and renderings to visualize design proposals.
- Maintain organized digital files of drawings, plans, and project documentation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SketchUp, Dynascape, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Strong understanding of drafting, CAD standards, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of landscape architecture principles and sustainable design practices preferred.
- Experience with project management tools or methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Prior internship or experience in landscape architecture or related fields is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- A degree or current enrollment in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related disciplines is preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $19.11-$37.63 per hour
