Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Woodworker specializing in high-quality custom furniture craftsmanship. This role involves transforming raw materials into finely crafted pieces that meet precise specifications and aesthetic standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and detailed finishing processes, contributing to the creation of unique, bespoke furniture pieces for discerning clients.
Duties
- Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to produce custom furniture pieces
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment with precision and safety
- Cut, shape, sand, assemble, and finish wood components to meet design specifications
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and decorative accents on finished furniture
- Perform restoration work on antique or damaged furniture to restore original quality and appearance
- Collaborate with designers and clients to ensure the final product aligns with their vision
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency during production
- Assist with quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process
Requirements
- Proven experience in woodworking, carpentry, or furniture manufacturing with a focus on high-quality custom pieces
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment
- Knowledge of restoration techniques and cabinetry installation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and assembly processes
- Familiarity with construction painting, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, rebar installation, roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical work, or handyman experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to craftsmanship excellence
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to various project requirements
