We are seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to join our growing team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing high quality, compliant, and compelling proposals in response to government and commercial solicitations. This individual will join the NCR proposal team and collaborate with subject matter experts, business development professionals, and operational leaders to create winning proposals that clearly articulate our value proposition and capabilities.
**Candidates with 3+ yrs experience supporting federal government procurement opportunities are strongly preferred**
**MUST: Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada security clearance (Reliability Status or Secret Clearance)**
Your future duties and responsibilities
. Lead the writing and editing of proposal responses / references, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other solicitation documents.
. Analyze solicitation requirements and develop written responses subject to technical authority approvals.
. Collaborate with technical, operational, and business stakeholders to gather information and develop proposal content.
. Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, persuasive, and customer focused proposal responses.
. Produce written material that is compliant with client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
. Review and edit content for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to corporate standards.
. Maintain and enhance proposal content libraries, templates, resumes, project descriptions, and other reusable materials.
. Support continuous improvement of proposal development processes and best practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 3–5 years of professional proposal writing experience.
. Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
. Experience managing multiple proposal deadlines in a fast paced environment.
. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
. Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams and subject matter experts.
Preferred
. Experience preparing proposals for the Government of Canada, including federal departments and agencies.
. Existing Reliability Status or Secret Security Clearance.
. Familiarity with federal procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and solicitation requirements.
. Experience working within professional services, consulting, technology, or government contracting environments.
. Knowledge of proposal management methodologies and best practices.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000–$110,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
