Avalon Compounding Pharmacy – Ottawa, Ontario
Avalon Compounding Pharmacy is seeking an experienced and motivated Compounding Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for pharmaceutical compounding and patient care. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on compounding pharmacy experience and be comfortable working in a high-quality, patient-focused environment.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing non-sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision
Accurately weighing, measuring, mixing, and documenting compounds
Maintaining strict quality control and documentation standards
Following USP, OCP, and pharmacy policies and procedures
Managing inventory, supplies, and compounding equipment
Supporting pharmacists and the pharmacy team with daily operations
Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant compounding workspace
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of compounding pharmacy experience required
Strong knowledge of compounding techniques and procedures
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to quality, safety, and patient care
Pharmacy assistant certification is an asset
