We design, manufacture, and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.
Based in Ottawa, Ontario the Manager, Project Management will report into the Project and Program Management Office (PPMO). This position oversees a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering complex engineering and technical projects. The role ensures consistent application of project management best practices, drives portfolio performance, and strengthens project governance across the organization. As a key interface between Project Managers, Program Management, and cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs), the Manager ensures alignment between project execution and broader business and program priorities. This is an on-site role requiring close collaboration, real-time decision making, and hands-on leadership.
What You’ll Do:

Lead & Develop the Project Management (PM) Team: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Project Managers through coaching, performance management, and skills development. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support hiring, onboarding, capability development, and succession planning for the PM discipline.

Oversee Portfolio Execution: Monitor project performance across the portfolio to ensure delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets. Review and approve key project artifacts including plans, schedules, risk registers, and stakeholder communication. Proactively intervene when risks or variances emerge and support structured problem solving. Assist with resource planning, workload balancing, and prioritization across the PM team.

Strengthen Governance & Standards: Own, develop, and optimize the PM processes and ensure consistent adoption of PPMO processes, project management methodologies, and stage-gate frameworks. Reinforce best practices in risk management, change control, document control, and status reporting. Conduct project reviews, compliance checks, and lessons learned sessions. Identify and champion improvements to PM tools, processes, and reporting frameworks.

Collaborate & Communicate Across the Organization: Serve as the escalation point for project-level issues requiring leadership intervention. Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to ensure cross-functional alignment. Prepare and deliver portfolio health reports, KPIs, and insights to senior leadership. Build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels to support project success.

Support PPMO & Organizational Strategy: Contribute to strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, and operational improvements within the PPMO. Help shape and mature the organization's project management culture and capabilities. Lead or support special initiatives requiring project management expertise.

What You’ll Bring:

10+ years of project management experience in engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, or similarly complex technical environments.

3–5+ years of leadership experience managing project managers or leading PMO activities.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business or relevant proven experience.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and portfolio reporting.

Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary initiatives in a matrixed environment.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict-resolution skills.
-
Pragmatic and execution-oriented mindset focused on delivering outcomes over process theory.

Strength in coaching and developing project management talent.

A hands-on, collaborative leadership style with high accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.

Knowledge of product manufacturing, procurement, and product qualification considered an asset.

PMP, PgMP, or equivalent designation is considered an asset.

Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance).

Base Salary Range for this position: $120,000 - $150,000 (final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and fit).
