Lafarge is looking for a Groundsman/Labourer to join our team to carry out scheduled ground maintenance work. This position will report directly to the Plant Operator and will work co-operatively with all Carseland personnel.
As a Groundsman/Labourer, you will:
Keep the Plant clean
Operate a Bobcat as needed
Seek out and implement Best Practices
Create an atmosphere of teamwork and ensure the development of personnel and arbitrate to resolve conflicts
Identify and communicate product problems and information
Perform several types of manual work
Handle materials, tools, and equipment
Operate automotive vehicles when required
Shovel spillage around conveyors
Ensure safety goals are achieved
Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment
Semi-skilled, enthusiastic, has the ability to work on their own initiative
Knowledge in general maintenance work
Capable of working in an outdoor environment year round
