Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer/Carpenter/Helper experienced in residential construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing, carpentry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on residential projects, including new builds and restoration work, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing and carpentry tasks.
- Construct, install, and repair residential structures such as walls, floors, roofs, and siding using hand tools and power tools
- Perform concrete forming and finishing as required for foundation work or other structural elements
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting heavy materials or moving large components
- Assist with restoration projects, including siding replacement and woodwork repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential framing, carpentry, or related construction fields
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, woodworking equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing techniques
- Experience with siding installation, restoration projects, welding, and heavy lifting is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in a construction environment
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for transportation to job sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
