ImagineAbility Inc. is a non-profit agency supporting people living with intellectual disabilities with the aim of increasing their independence and quality of life. ImagineAbility’s COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support people in the community through work, leisure, social and volunteer experiences.
The ImagineAbility Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for the ongoing support of people in the community. The support involves relationship building, working as part of the team to set goals, participating in meetings. The DSP is a liaison between family members, residential support providers, government agents, and our agency. The DSP ensures peoples’ safety both within and outside of our facilities. Supporting people to accomplish their goal plans, the DSP provides support in the areas of personal growth, work/volunteer placement, and life skills. The DSP also supports community members such as employers, volunteer agencies, government agents, and families to understand the benefits of inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Disability and Community Support Diploma preferred but not a requirement
- Experience working with people with an intellectual disability an asset
- Post- secondary education an asset
DEGREES, CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Non Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate
- Clear criminal record check
- Clear Adult and Child Abuse Registry check.
- Current Driver’s license, clear Driver’s abstract and consistent access to a reliable vehicle insured for a minimum of $2 million liability

STARTING SALARY: $28,000.00 ANNUAL
