Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant Level II with HARP certification to cover for a leave. The job may range from one month upto 5 months. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, enhance patient care, and ensure smooth office workflows. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in dental assisting and familiarity with advanced dental technologies. The successful applicant will be instrumental in providing exceptional dental services across various specialties, including orthodontics and pediatrics, while utilizing their expertise in dental software and medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Manage patient records efficiently using electronic health records using AbelDent
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when required
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Support front desk operations by performing dental receptionist duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, treatments, and patient interactions
- Assist in the management of appointments, scheduling, and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Valid HARP certification for Level II Dental Assistant
- Proven experience in dental assisting, preferably with exposure to orthodontics and pediatrics
- Proficiency in dental software AbelDent is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health
- Familiarity with CAD systems for digital imaging or restorations is a plus
- Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures, infection control, and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $20.58-$28.00 per hour
