Leadership capacity is essential to a strong, responsive public service. The Leadership and Talent Management Branch is strengthening its corporate approach to leadership development. We design and deliver strategies, frameworks, programs, tools, and learning experiences that support current and future leaders at key points in their development.
As a Leadership Development and Strategy Consultant, you will help translate workforce priorities, leadership frameworks, talent insights, and evidence into scalable, implementation-ready solutions. Your work will connect leadership development with talent management, performance, succession, and workforce planning priorities across government.
What You’ll Do:
As a member of this team, you will:
- Design, develop, and modernize leadership development strategies, frameworks, programs, learning resources, and supporting tools.
- Lead projects from concept through approval, design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Use workforce, talent, assessment, program, and environmental scan data to identify leadership gaps and emerging development needs.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, reports, business cases, and recommendations to support senior leader decision-making.
- Plan and lead stakeholder engagement activities, including consultations, working groups, focus groups, and project meetings.
- Partner with senior leaders, HR portfolio teams, Talent Management, Executive Search, vendors, and corporate services partners.
- Develop communications, launch materials, project and implementation plans, and change supports to encourage awareness, adoption, and participation.
- Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, track deliverables, and coordinate activities across multiple partners and workstreams.\
- Support program evaluation by collecting feedback, assessing outcomes, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide advice and consultation to leaders, HR partners, and stakeholders on leadership development approaches, tools, and practices.
