What you can expect in a typical day:
As a Human Resource (HR) Partner, you will act as a consultant to senior leaders and managers with the goal of driving excellence in our people processes. In this role, you will provide leadership advice and coaching while applying critical thinking to opportunities impacting disciplines including: Workforce Planning, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Organizational Effectiveness, and Change Management.

The day-to-day focus of this role will be to provide strategic support and lead HR cycles such as Performance Management, Compensation, Career Development, and Succession Planning. The HR Partner works with the business on operational talent matters and opportunities to support continuous improvement while managing complex employee inquiries and resolving them in a timely manner.

What you’ll need to succeed:
Ability to work very closely with other HR Partners and Recruitment Specialists to maintain a consistent employee experience across the company;
A commitment to working with integrity and enthusiasm to better organizational processes, acting as a change agent and creating an optimal work experience for employees;
Proven ability to maintain confidence and professionalism while navigating through ambiguous and complex situations.

Depending on the business units you work with, some travel within Atlantic Canada and Quebec may be involved.
Education and experience

Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, business, or related field.
Minimum 5 years HR operational experience or experience as a manager of people.
CPHR designation an asset.
