The Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary invites applications for a Sessional Instructor to teach Fall 2024 ACCT 217 LEC 02 (Introductory Financial Accounting) on Mondays/Wednesdays 09:30-10:45. Classes in the Fall 2024 semester run from September 3, 2024 to December 6, 2024. Registrar Scheduled Exams will take place between December 9, 2024 to December 19, 2024, if applicable.

The calendar description of the course:
¿Introduction to accounting for business organizations. Reporting of financial results of operations and financial position to investors, managers, and others. Emphasis on the use of accounting information for decision making.¿
Qualifications

Masters Degree (or Bachelors Degree with senior management experience) and Charted Professional Accountant (CPA)

Previous post-secondary accounting teaching experience is required

Preference will be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching ACCT 217
- Experience in programs such as Zoom, D2L and other digital education products would be an asset
