The successful candidate will join the Engineering Team of dedicated professionals, whose goal is to exceed our customer’s expectations in delivering reliable and cost-effective energy and services. They will assist in the review of overhead and underground customer and capital design and provide support to planners as needed. They will provide Technical Support for the operation and maintenance of NSPI’s systems by ensuring that all work is conducted in accordance with NSPI’s policies, standards and work methods, thereby providing a consistent, safe and cost-effective environment. You will assist in the operation of the Distribution system in accordance with NSPI’s Engineering practices and Standard Protection Code.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
The ideal candidate should be enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of an Engineering program, with a major in Electrical Engineering. They should also be motivated, a quick learner and be self-directed. They should have the ability to work with limited supervision and possess excellent computer skills.
