Position Overview:
The Electrical Service Representative is primarily responsible for retaining good customer relationships, supporting customer machines and improving the operation and maintenance of mining equipment to Caterpillar OEM standards and specifications. In addition, the position is responsible for scheduling customer visits, resolving customer complaints and concerns and forecasting/supporting future customer requirements.
Job Description:

Responsible for scheduling customer visits, setting agendas and writing monthly reports on customer updates.

Liaison with the Finning Parts Department to have the necessary parts delivered to the Mining customers.

Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements on customer equipment.

Send technical analysis to the customers and provide the customer with recommended service options.
-
Learn and use Caterpillar systems such as SIS for parts.
-
Must develop and maintain open lines of communication with all supportive departments.

Ensure analysis and maintenance/repair recommendations are provided to appropriate groups promptly.

Provide solutions on time.

Recommendation of safety solutions.

Rapid escalation to the appropriate individuals and/ or groups of any machine-down situations.

Ensure that 80% of the time is customer-facing.

Accountable for building a library on all technical issues.
Education and Experience:
-
Electrical Engineering Tech. Diploma
-
Experience troubleshooting large drives
-
PLC operation and programming
-
Ensure analysis and maintenance/repair recommendations are provided to appropriate groups promptly

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Siemens and Allan Bradley PLC exposure an asset.

Rotating equipment maintenance

Experience with High Voltage switching and monitoring (13.8KV, 7.2KV, 4,1KV)

Mechanical aptitude
