Telecommunications Site Technician

Geocell Canada Inc. is seeking Telecommunications Site Technicians to support wireless telecommunications projects across Canada.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wireless telecommunications equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
1-Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wireless telecommunications equipment.
2-Install antennas, Remote Radio Units (RRUs), TMAs, microwave equipment, fibre optic cabling, feeders, RF jumpers, hybrid cables, and associated hardware.
3-Perform tower climbing, rooftop installations, rigging, and equipment mounting.
4-Install, terminate, splice, test, and troubleshoot fibre optic cabling.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment replacements, and network upgrades.
5-Read and interpret engineering drawings, construction packages, and technical documentation.
6-Conduct site surveys, equipment testing, commissioning, and quality inspections.
7-Complete daily reports, testing documentation, and as-built records.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and test equipment in accordance with company procedures.
8-Comply with customer requirements and all applicable health and safety regulations.
9-Travel to project locations across Canada as required.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in telecommunications, wireless construction, or a related field is preferred.
-Experience with LTE, 5G, microwave, fibre optic, or DC power systems is considered an asset.
-Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
-Valid Canadian driver's licence.
-Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
-Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
-Willingness to travel for project assignments throughout Canada.

-Working at Heights
-Tower Climbing & Rescue
-Fall Protection
Applicants who do not currently hold all certifications may be considered. Training may be provided based on operational requirements.
