We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team at York Addiction & Mental Health Inc in Ontario. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals that support our clients' recovery journey while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals tailored to the needs of our clients.
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with staff to plan menus that support nutritional goals.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high standards of food quality.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all health regulations and company policies.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on excellent service.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in healthcare or community settings.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse, nutritious meals.
- Leadership skills to supervise kitchen staff effectively.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Food handling certification is required.
- Experience working in mental health or addiction treatment environments is a plus.

Pay: $17.20-$27.00 per hour
