ParaMed/Extendicare is pleased to partner with Health Force Ontario (HFO) as an approved employer for the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN) which provides a $25,000 retention bonus to eligible nurses in exchange for a 24-month, full-time commitment.

We currently have an opening on our Nursing team for a qualified RN. In this role you would have scheduled visits in the community to homes and facilities to look after patient needs within your scope of practice while providing 1 on 1 care. Our community Nurses play a huge part of helping patients to be comfortable in their homes. They also help to keep patients out of hospital and other facilities where they may be at risk of infection or lack of beds.
We have 4 primary care teams that our Nurses generally work within - Palliative, Clinic, General, and Pediatric.

Qualifications:
Current registration/licensing and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and families
Effective skills in critical thinking and problem solving
A personal vehicle to go from home to home in the community
