The Supply Chain & Inventory Manager will be part of the Operations Management team for ABB Motion Canada and reporting directly to the National Operations Manager, this position is located at our Montreal office. This role has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the Supply Chain team providing all aspects of supply chain management including inventory, expediting, procurement, contracts and reporting.
Oversees a small team of inventory and supply chain employees.
Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
Manages schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
Develops business relationships with feeder factories and internal customers.
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Manages the recruitment and development of the direct reports.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
University degree with Continuous Improvement training, is preferred
Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies, utilizing ABC/XYZ methodology.
Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
Have the ability to write and speak in English & French
