CLS is currently hiring Full-Time entry level and experienced Labourers/Operators

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Working outside consistently with exposure to all seasonal weather conditions in a physically demanding environment.
- Long hours including overtime (up to 14 hour days occasionally), all days of the week, including weekends, and possibly for periods of 14-21 days straight
- Work in areas with minimal access to amenities
- Occasionally work out of town, or in remote locations
- Required PPE – safety boots (the rest will be supplied for you)
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform all duties with a general awareness to safety and hazards. Abide by company Health and Safety Program and Safe Work Practises
- Perform skilled manual labour including but not limited to: Raking, shovelling, wheelbarrowing, sweeping, etc.
- Operate and maintain a large variety of hand and power tools
- Complete pre-operational checks on equipment and job checklists
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to lift up to 30 kilograms and carry up to 100 metres
- Must be willing to work in above mentioned working conditions
- Must have their own vehicle and provide their own transportation to Edmonton and surrounding area. Public transit is not acceptable. Transportation for out of town work will be provided.
- Good communication skills
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence
- Must have a personal smart phone for communication and timecard application
- Experienced labourers must have at minimum skid steer experience, with other equipment experience preferred.
- Experienced labourers must have experience with safely loading and securing equipment and supplies
- Experienced labourers must have a good driving record and be willing to provide a driver’s abstract
ASSETS
- First Aid or other valid safety certifications
- Class 3 license and/or Air Brakes Endorsement
- High school diploma or equivalent or any post secondary education
- Experience working outdoors
- Experience in playground, spray park, or general parks construction
- Experience operating any equipment
- Experience operating truck and trailer
- Landscaping or concrete experience
- Clean driving record and willing to provide driver’s abstract
- Reading grade stakes or construction drawings
- Experience using a laser level
SALARY
Entry level labourers - $18-22/hour depending on any related experience
Experienced Labourers - $25-$30/hour depending on type of experience
