Summary of Position:
Sandbanks Winery is developing and expanding their food services at the estate, including a new food trailer. Food experiences to include public outdoor food service, special events, private dining, and various other offerings. Responsible for assisting the estate and sous chef for kitchen functions including food preparation/service, sanitation and cleanliness

Duties & Responsibilities:

Execution of food preparation and service for the estate

Preparation of food ensuring quality, consistency and presentation are meeting all winery and health standards

Keeping work area clean including all tools and equipment are properly sanitized. Assist the service team with cleaning service dishes.

Ensure proper labelling and storage of food products

Assist with maintaining proper inventory controls and ordering systems

Minimal kitchen experience an asset

Knowledge of various cooking methods

Demonstrated team player and willingness to learn

Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and guests.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
