To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to support our Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
The Customer Service Coordinator provides financial reporting support to the Lab management team on all activities related to test costing and pricing, reporting of MOH and CCO funded tests, lab business activities, client inquiries, project management and other administrative functions related to the delivery of pathology and laboratory services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Respond to client inquiries on Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PLM) services
Perform lab costing, billing and invoicing of laboratory and professional fees
Extract client test volumes from the Lab Information System (LIS), prepare invoices to clients and reconcile payments received
Follow-up on outstanding invoices
Assist in preparation of operating budget and trending
Organize meetings, prepare agendas and required preparatory materials; record and distribute Minutes of meetings
Prepare written correspondence, reports and presentations using MS Office software
Prepare departmental project plans, track and communicate progress
Update policies and procedures using the Document Control software , i.e., Paradigm
Compile lists of completed projects, prepare quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports or presentations as required
Maintain and update Departmental Balanced Score Card and submit Key Performance Metrics to the Corporate Measurement and Reporting Team
Provide assistance to and act as back-up to the Assistant to the Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Deputy Head, performing relevant functions as required
Compile and complete annual lab test volumes and submit renewal for lab license annually
Assist in the preparing applications for grants and research projects
Other duties as required
Successful completion of a University degree or College Diploma in Healthcare, BusinessAdministration or Computer Science
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Two years of recent experience within a healthcare environment
Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may also be considered.
Superior technical skills and proficiency with MS Office, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Proven experience in invoicing,billings or and financial reporting
Knowledgeable in analysing financial data and trends
Excellent attention to details especially with numbers and dollars
Knowledgeable and competent in medical terminology
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated superior organization skills and ability to prioritize competing tasks
Superior work ethic, professionalism, dependability, reliability, initiative and positive attitude
Ability to make decisions, exercise good judgment and initiative in dealing with confidential information and/or in responding to inquiries
Knowledgeable in databases and data extraction preferred
Knowledge and experience in project management preferred
Reliable and flexible with ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking and dynamic environment
Proven public relations skills
