Soccer Coach (Part-Time)
Overview
Ball IQ Soccer Academy is looking for a passionate, reliable, and energetic Soccer Coach to join our growing academy in Edmonton.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children and can create a positive, fun, and professional learning environment while helping young players develop their technical skills, confidence, and love for the game.
This is an excellent opportunity for former or current players, coaches, and individuals who are passionate about youth development through soccer.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist soccer training sessions for players aged 5–14.
- Teach fundamental soccer skills, techniques, and game understanding.
- Create a positive, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to players to support their development.
- Ensure a safe and professional training environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents and academy staff.
- Assist with camps, games, and special events when needed.
- Follow Ball IQ Soccer Academy’s coaching methodology and training philosophy.
Requirements
- Previous soccer coaching experience or playing experience is preferred.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
- Ability to speak Ukrainian or Russian is considered an asset.
- Experience working with children is an asset.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Availability to work 2 to 4 evenings per week, depending on the number of players and groups.
- Coaching certifications are an asset but are not required.
Additional Information
- No previous coaching experience? No problem. Candidates with playing experience and a passion for working with children are encouraged to apply.
- The right candidate may begin as an Assistant Coach and receive support and mentorship from the Head Coach.
- All training sessions and practice plans must be approved by the Head Coach to ensure consistency with the academy’s methodology and player development philosophy.
