Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Key Holder/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in ensuring excellent customer service, effective store operations, and achieving sales goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for retail management. Bilingual abilities and experience in merchandising, POS systems, and team supervision are highly valued. As a key holder, you will play a crucial role in store opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and staff training.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance shopping experience
- Assist in daily store operations including opening and closing procedures
- Manage POS transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays, pricing products, and maintaining store presentation standards
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
- Supervise staff during shifts, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities
- Oversee inventory purchasing, stock replenishment, and bookkeeping tasks to ensure optimal stock levels
- Implement marketing strategies to promote sales and store events
- Monitor sales performance and assist in sales management to meet or exceed targets
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain organizational skills to ensure efficient store operations and compliance with company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within retail environments
- Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, merchandising software, and basic math skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and vendors
- Experience with recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, budgeting, and marketing strategies
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and inventory control
- Customer service-oriented mindset with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if necessary; store hours may vary based on location
