This position will be working at the Cinespace Studios located at: 777 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 5Z4
The Cinespace Program Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director and Associate Director of York/ Cinespace Film Studio by coordinating day-to-day administrative and operational activities as they relate to the studio, including its events, programming, academic activities, research activities, industry partnerships, and community outreach activities.
College Diploma in a related field such as Business Administration, Film Production, Media and Entertainment or equivalent two years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Two years recent (defined as within the last five years) related work experience in an academic institution or Film and/or Media organization providing financial and administrative support. Event coordination, experience planning meetings and organizing conferences and events is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills including setting priorities and meeting deadlines, attending accurately to detail. Ability to produce clear and concise documentation. Financial administration skills for budget monitoring and reconciliation. Ability to organize conferences and meetings. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proven ability to work successfully with a wide range of stakeholders including researchers, industry professionals, students, staff, alumni, community groups, and private / public-sector organizations. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team. Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines. Basic ability to maintain and update websites using templates. Basic skills in posting on a variety of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Tiktok, etc.).Technical Skills- Intermediate skills in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Basic WordPress and web editing applications. Basic familiarity with Photoshop, Premier, and Final Cut Pro.
