Position Overview:
Join the dynamic team at the School of Atlantic Ballet, where we inspire students of all ages through performance-based training in ballet, dance, musical theatre, and Arts After School. We proudly produce two major full-scale productions annually and are a cornerstone of artistic growth in Greater Moncton.
We're thrilled to introduce Mawiamalga’tijig / Mawokahtine, Canada's first professional high school dance training program dedicated to Indigenous youth, offering a culturally rich learning experience that honors Indigenous traditions.
Role Summary:
As the Director, you will oversea the School and Mawiamalga’tijig / Mawokahtine. This role demands exceptional administrative, organizational, communication and planning skills while having a deep commitment to arts education and cultural inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
Develop tools and resources and outreach initiatives, fostering excellence in teaching and performance while building community partnerships.
Program Coordination:
Oversee operations, manage faculty, and ensure seamless logistics for various programs and compliance with Department of Education and Early Childhood Development policies for the Arts After School Program and educational policies.
Promotion and Community Engagement:
Ensure continuous promotion of the School to support and grow registrations, visibility and community partnerships.
Financial Management:
Administer program budgets to ensure achieve balanced budget and revenue growth.
Team Leadership:
Cultivate an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity. Recruit and mentor faculty and volunteers, fosteringa collaborative environment focused on student well-being.
Qualifications:
5+ years in arts education leadership or program administration.
Bachelor’s degree in an arts-related or educational field.
Exceptional organizational and administrative skills
Proven success in financial oversight
Excellent communications and team building skills
Bilingual (English/French preferred; Mi’kmaq or Wolastoqey is a plus).
Up to date First Aid certification and satisfactory background checks are required.
