Job Description
As a Major Community Projects Coordinator, you'll work alongside the Director on every part of FoE's summer effort: canvasses, candidate outreach, events and the day-to-day coordination that keeps the team moving.
Tasks and Abilities
- Join canvass teams door-to-door for fundraising and voter outreach
- Check in with team members on progress and compile updates for the Director
- Help with candidate outreach and community partnership coordination
- Help plan and run any community events the team organizes.
- Move across the campaign as priorities shift — taking on different responsibilities as the summer progresses
Key Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication including team coordination, and email outreach.
- Relationship-building across candidates, community partners, and team members
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to track activities and report progress to the Director
- Quick to pick up new digital tools and platforms
- Problem-solving, initiative, and ability to work independently
- Background in political science, community organizing, public administration, or event management is an asset
- Speaking multiple languages (Mandarin/Cantonese, French, Urdu, etc.) is an asset
Essentials
3 month contract: June to August 2026
$18 an hour, 35h/week
Canada Youth Summer Job: Must be under 30 years of age with either Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee status
