Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform maintenance tasks across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills, with experience in facilities management and troubleshooting. This role involves supervising maintenance activities, ensuring safety standards, and providing excellent customer service to internal teams and tenants. The Property Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of our properties through proactive repairs and preventative maintenance.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems.
- Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Supervise external contractors or team members during specialized repairs or projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards during all maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
- Assist with facility upgrades or renovations as directed by management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or occupant concerns professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or property management, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical systems and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to document work accurately.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams or contractors effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
