Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment. Your primary duties will include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles and equipment are operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy truck and trailer repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and light vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment. Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
- Collaborate with team members for effective operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Truck and Trailer Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle and equipment systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset. Valid driver's license; additional certifications are an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
