What You'll Do:
Support the development and implementation of the Privacy Program components (e.g., content development, training, assessments, contract reviews and reporting), as needed.
Perform coordination and administrative duties for the privacy program (e.g., scheduling meetings, taking minutes, conducting follow-up, compiling documentation).
Track and report on privacy risks and status of key program activities
Prepare program updates and other required materials (e.g., work flows, use cases).
Assist in conducting privacy assessments, including, project intake and triage, information gathering, stakeholder coordination, and documentation, as needed.
Support the delivery of privacy training and awareness, as needed.
Support privacy breach management activities (e.g., intake, escalation and investigation).
Develop familiarity with applicable privacy laws and industry standards and applicable healthcare regulations and standards.
Perform research on privacy trends, best practices and changes in healthcare landscape.
Build positive relationships with peers at Shoppers Drug Mart and across the broader organization
What You'll Need:
Post-secondary education at the college or university level (or in progress) in a relevant field.
Certificate in CIPP or equivalent preferred.
Experience within a healthcare industry preferred.
Knowledge of privacy legislation and regulations (e.g. PIPEDA, PHIPA), risk management and project management frameworks and methodologies is an asset.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and cohesively in a team setting.
Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Intermediate computer skills and working experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Organizational, verbal, facilitation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to synthesize complex information into succinct and relevant business artefacts.
Ability to build working relationships across the organization.
Demonstrate sound judgement and critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
