Flower Farm Team Member (Full-Time)

The Wandering Bee Flower Farm is a small, family-run flower farm growing seasonal, garden-inspired blooms for our local community. We focus on sustainable growing practices and creating beautiful, natural fresh cut flowers.
We are currently hiring a position from now - December.
This is a hands-on, physical role—best suited for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with their hands, and being part of a small, hardworking team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planting, weeding, and maintaining flower beds and hoop houses
- Harvesting and processing flowers for markets, events, and subscriptions
- Washing buckets, organizing tools, and keeping workspaces tidy
- Assisting with irrigation and crop care
- Preparing bouquets for market and delivery
- Supporting general farm tasks that keep things running smoothly
What This Job Is Like
- Physical work (lifting, bending, repetitive tasks)
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, wind, light rain)
- Early mornings during peak season
- A mix of fast-paced harvest days and steady, focused tasks

- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is reliable and shows up on time
- Enjoys working outdoors and staying active
- Pays attention to detail (especially when harvesting and handling flowers)
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Previous farm, gardening, or physical work experience is an asset (not required)
Requirements
- Must meet eligibility criteria for the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 15–30)
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation to the farm
