Dixon’s General Store & Café is seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Servers to join our team. As a Server, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience by providing attentive, efficient, and professional service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation and quality
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit
- Answer menu questions and make thoughtful recommendations
- Assist with basic food preparation and proper food handling as required
- Clear tables and maintain a clean, organized dining area
- Process payments and handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and café staff to ensure smooth service
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong hospitality and guest service skills
- Basic knowledge of food service procedures and restaurant etiquette
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for order accuracy and payment processing
- Helpful, positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Previous restaurant or café experience is an asset
Required Certifications
- Valid Smart Serve certification (mandatory)
- Valid Food Handler Certificate (mandatory)
