Director, Software Engineering
Location: Guelph ON (Hybrid)
Build the technology that powers compassionate experiences across North America.
Some software helps companies sell products.
Ours helps veterinary teams support families during some of life's most meaningful moments.
At Gateway Services, we're North America's leading provider of pet after-life care. Every day, thousands of veterinary professionals rely on our technology to deliver exceptional service, transparency, and peace of mind to pet families.
We're looking for a Director of Software Engineering who wants more than just another leadership role.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of a mission-critical platform, lead an exceptional engineering team, and influence the technology strategy of a growing North American organization.
If you're a technical leader who enjoys building great teams, solving complex problems, embracing AI, and staying close enough to technology to make meaningful engineering decisions, we'd love to talk.
Why This Opportunity is Different
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days in meetings while others make the technical decisions.
You'll lead the engineering organization while remaining actively involved in architecture, delivery, engineering standards, cloud strategy, DevOps, AI adoption, and software quality.
You'll partner directly with Product, Solution Architecture, IT Operations, and executive leadership to modernize and scale one of the industry's most important operational platforms.
Most importantly, you'll have the autonomy to make a lasting impact.

-
Build a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
