We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the products being transported.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous for minor vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and forklifts is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as required.
