Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Welder(s) to join our manufacturing team. This person is responsible for producing high-quality welds for metal buildings, fuel tanks, gensets, and skids while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to specifications and standards. This role requires collaboration with other team members and strict compliance with welding codes, safety standards, and best practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications
- Select appropriate welding equipment and materials
- Prepare surfaces for welding, including cleaning, cutting, and fitting
- Perform welding operations using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and other welding techniques as required
- Operate welding equipment safely, following safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Collaborate with designers, fabricators, and other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
- Troubleshoot welding issues and adjust methods as needed
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in good condition
- Continuously improve welding skills and stay updated on industry best practices
Required Experience & Skills
- Journeyperon Welder certification (required)
- CWB certification (required)
- Minimum three (3) years of related welding experience, preferably in metal buildings, fuel tanks, gensets, or skid fabrication
- Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications
- Knowledge of metals and appropriate welding methods for each type
- Skilled in welding preparation, inspection, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of welding safety practices, proper ventilation, fire protection, and PPE use
- Strong English communication skills
- Physical fitness to safely lift, carry, and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Flexibility and proactive attitude in a dynamic manufacturing environment
- Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently

Work Environment
- Shop-based manufacturing facility
- Physical role (standing, lifting, welding equipment)
*Rates are negotiable based on experience*
Pay: $33.00-$35.00 per hour
