What You’ll Do
As the Warehouse Associate, you will have the opportunity to
- Pick, pack, and ship a variety of building materials, including mouldings and doors
- Read and understand pick lists and paper work
- Lift, push, and pull material bundles that weigh up to 49 lbs.
- Ensure accurate tallies and order quantities
- Operate various types of machinery as required, including an electric tugger and trailer
- Clean and tidy the work area as required
- Ensure all work is performed safely and timely
- Product binning and put-away as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment, and are comfortable operating various types of machinery
- You must have reliable transportation or the ability to transit
- Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Are great at communicating with others in both verbal and written format

What it's like at Metrie
- Safety. Your safety is important to us. We want you to leave the day, the same way you came in. Continuous training with all warehouse personnel for both Safety and Operational excellence. Measure critical safety metrics on a monthly basis, identify potential issues and take appropriate actions.
- Surroundings. You’ll be working around moving machines – order pickers, forklifts, and mobile carts.
- Activity. Some activities may require operating machinery, constant walking, repetitive lifting, and using a handheld scanner.
- Temperature. Warehouse in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Noise level. Can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.
- Dress code. Relaxed, with a few requirements regarding PPE. Metrie provides safety shoes, high visibility shirts or vests, eye protection and gloves.

In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full-time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at $19 - $21/hr. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
