Shop Floater — CherryNook Inc.
CherryNook Inc. is seeking a Shop Floater to support our growing team. We take pride in maintaining an open, welcoming, and supportive work environment where every team member contributes to creating high‑quality custom cabinetry and millwork.
The Shop Floater is a versatile role that adapts to daily needs in the shop. You’ll assist across a variety of tasks including custom millwork, edging, sanding, cabinet assembly, and general shop support.
Duties:
- Daily shop support — assist with edge banding, custom woodworking, cabinet assembly, sanding, and general workflow needs
- Equipment operation — operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move, load, and unload materials
- Order preparation — package, label, and prepare items for shipment
- Delivery assistance — support the delivery team with loading and transporting products
- Shop upkeep — maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Safety compliance — follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Experience & Qualifications:
- Woodworking or cabinetry experience preferred
- Shop or warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Equipment familiarity (pallet jacks, forklifts) considered an asset
- Physical capability — ability to lift heavy items and perform hands‑on tasks
- Attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- Teamwork and communication — ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
